Prayer Times in Makkah

Today in Makkah (Sunday, 8 November 2026, 28 Jumada al-Ula 1448 AH), Fajr is at 05:09, sunrise at 06:27, Dhuhr at 12:04, Asr at 15:17, Maghrib at 17:41 and Isha at 19:11 local time (UTC+3).

The times are calculated for 21.4225°, 39.8262° with the Umm al-Qura University, Makkah method, the convention most widely used in Saudi Arabia, and the Standard (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali) rule for Asr. Isha is 90 minutes after Maghrib, and 120 minutes during Ramadan. Your local mosque may add a few minutes of precaution or use a different method, so its timetable takes precedence.

Makkah is home to the Ka'bah, the qibla that Muslims around the world face in prayer.

On the June solstice, the longest day of the year in Makkah, Fajr is at 04:11, Maghrib at 19:06 and Isha at 20:36; the time from Fajr to Maghrib, the length of a fast, is 14 h 55 min. On the December solstice, Fajr is at 05:32 and Maghrib at 17:44, a fast of only 12 h 12 min.

Ramadan moves about 11 days earlier every year, so over a 33-year cycle the fasting day in Makkah ranges between these two lengths. See the Ramadan 2027 timetable for Makkah for suhoor and iftar times.
