Prayer Times in Glasgow

Today in Glasgow (Sunday, 8 November 2026, 28 Jumada al-Ula 1448 AH), Fajr is at 05:59, sunrise at 07:38, Dhuhr at 12:06, Asr at 13:55, Maghrib at 16:26 and Isha at 17:52 local time (UTC+0).

The times are calculated for 55.8642°, -4.2518° with the Moonsighting Committee Worldwide method, the convention most widely used in United Kingdom, and the Standard (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali) rule for Asr. Because Glasgow lies above 48° latitude, Fajr and Isha around midsummer follow the "seventh of the night" rule, as the sun does not sink far enough below the horizon. Your local mosque may add a few minutes of precaution or use a different method, so its timetable takes precedence.

The qibla from Glasgow is 118° from true north (ESE), on the great-circle route to the Ka'bah 5,264 km away.

On the June solstice, the longest day of the year in Glasgow, Fajr is at 03:36, Maghrib at 22:09 and Isha at 23:01; the time from Fajr to Maghrib, the length of a fast, is 18 h 33 min. On the December solstice, Fajr is at 07:02 and Maghrib at 15:47, a fast of only 8 h 45 min.

Ramadan moves about 11 days earlier every year, so over a 33-year cycle the fasting day in Glasgow ranges between these two lengths. See the Ramadan 2027 timetable for Glasgow for suhoor and iftar times.
