Prayer Times in Frankfurt

Today in Frankfurt (Sunday, 8 November 2026, 28 Jumada al-Ula 1448 AH), Fajr is at 05:35, sunrise at 07:27, Dhuhr at 12:10, Asr at 14:25, Maghrib at 16:51 and Isha at 18:36 local time (UTC+1).

The times are calculated for 50.1109°, 8.6821° with the Muslim World League (Fajr 18°, Isha 17°) method, the convention most widely used in Germany, and the Standard (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali) rule for Asr. Because Frankfurt lies above 48° latitude, Fajr and Isha around midsummer follow the "seventh of the night" rule, as the sun does not sink far enough below the horizon. Your local mosque may add a few minutes of precaution or use a different method, so its timetable takes precedence.

The qibla from Frankfurt is 128° from true north (SE), on the great-circle route to the Ka'bah 4,192 km away. Today at 08:32 the sun stands exactly in the direction of the qibla, so shadows point directly away from it, an easy way to check the direction without a compass.

On the June solstice, the longest day of the year in Frankfurt, Fajr is at 04:10, Maghrib at 21:39 and Isha at 22:44; the time from Fajr to Maghrib, the length of a fast, is 17 h 29 min. On the December solstice, Fajr is at 06:22 and Maghrib at 16:25, a fast of only 10 h 03 min.

Ramadan moves about 11 days earlier every year, so over a 33-year cycle the fasting day in Frankfurt ranges between these two lengths. See the Ramadan 2027 timetable for Frankfurt for suhoor and iftar times.
