Prayer Times in Kazan

Today in Kazan (Sunday, 8 November 2026, 28 Jumada al-Ula 1448 AH), Fajr is at 04:56, sunrise at 07:04, Dhuhr at 11:28, Asr at 13:57, Maghrib at 15:50 and Isha at 17:51 local time (UTC+3).

The times are calculated for 55.7963°, 49.1088° with the Muslim World League (Fajr 18°, Isha 17°) method, the convention most widely used in Russia, and the Hanafi rule for Asr. Because Kazan lies above 48° latitude, Fajr and Isha around midsummer follow the "seventh of the night" rule, as the sun does not sink far enough below the horizon. Your local mosque may add a few minutes of precaution or use a different method, so its timetable takes precedence.

The qibla from Kazan is 195° from true north (SSW), on the great-circle route to the Ka'bah 3,899 km away. Today at 12:28 the sun stands exactly in the direction of the qibla, so shadows point directly away from it, an easy way to check the direction without a compass.

On the June solstice, the longest day of the year in Kazan, Fajr is at 02:03, Maghrib at 20:32 and Isha at 21:28; the time from Fajr to Maghrib, the length of a fast, is 18 h 29 min. On the December solstice, Fajr is at 05:50 and Maghrib at 15:11, a fast of only 9 h 21 min.

Ramadan moves about 11 days earlier every year, so over a 33-year cycle the fasting day in Kazan ranges between these two lengths. See the Ramadan 2027 timetable for Kazan for suhoor and iftar times.
