Prayer Times in Makhachkala

Today in Makhachkala (Sunday, 8 November 2026, 28 Jumada al-Ula 1448 AH), Fajr is at 04:56, sunrise at 06:33, Dhuhr at 11:35, Asr at 14:11, Maghrib at 16:34 and Isha at 18:05 local time (UTC+3).

The times are calculated for 42.9849°, 47.5047° with the Muslim World League (Fajr 18°, Isha 17°) method, the convention most widely used in Russia, and the Standard (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali) rule for Asr. Your local mosque may add a few minutes of precaution or use a different method, so its timetable takes precedence.

The qibla from Makhachkala is 199° from true north (SSW), on the great-circle route to the Ka'bah 2,501 km away. Today at 12:44 the sun stands exactly in the direction of the qibla, so shadows point directly away from it, an easy way to check the direction without a compass.

On the June solstice, the longest day of the year in Makhachkala, Fajr is at 01:52, Maghrib at 19:33 and Isha at 21:40; the time from Fajr to Maghrib, the length of a fast, is 17 h 41 min. On the December solstice, Fajr is at 05:35 and Maghrib at 16:18, a fast of only 10 h 43 min.

Ramadan moves about 11 days earlier every year, so over a 33-year cycle the fasting day in Makhachkala ranges between these two lengths. See the Ramadan 2027 timetable for Makhachkala for suhoor and iftar times.
