Prayer Times in Moscow

Today in Moscow (Sunday, 8 November 2026, 28 Jumada al-Ula 1448 AH), Fajr is at 05:42, sunrise at 07:50, Dhuhr at 12:14, Asr at 14:43, Maghrib at 16:36 and Isha at 18:37 local time (UTC+3).

The times are calculated for 55.7558°, 37.6173° with the Muslim World League (Fajr 18°, Isha 17°) method, the convention most widely used in Russia, and the Hanafi rule for Asr. Because Moscow lies above 48° latitude, Fajr and Isha around midsummer follow the "seventh of the night" rule, as the sun does not sink far enough below the horizon. Your local mosque may add a few minutes of precaution or use a different method, so its timetable takes precedence.

The qibla from Moscow is 176° from true north (S), on the great-circle route to the Ka'bah 3,822 km away. Today at 11:58 the sun stands exactly in the direction of the qibla, so shadows point directly away from it, an easy way to check the direction without a compass.

On the June solstice, the longest day of the year in Moscow, Fajr is at 02:49, Maghrib at 21:18 and Isha at 22:13; the time from Fajr to Maghrib, the length of a fast, is 18 h 29 min. On the December solstice, Fajr is at 06:36 and Maghrib at 15:58, a fast of only 9 h 22 min.

Ramadan moves about 11 days earlier every year, so over a 33-year cycle the fasting day in Moscow ranges between these two lengths. See the Ramadan 2027 timetable for Moscow for suhoor and iftar times.
