Prayer Times in Stockholm

Today in Stockholm (Sunday, 8 November 2026, 28 Jumada al-Ula 1448 AH), Fajr is at 05:09, sunrise at 07:24, Dhuhr at 11:32, Asr at 13:10, Maghrib at 15:38 and Isha at 17:53 local time (UTC+1).

The times are calculated for 59.3293°, 18.0686° with the Muslim World League (Fajr 18°, Isha 17°) method, the convention most widely used in Sweden, and the Standard (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali) rule for Asr. Because Stockholm lies above 48° latitude, Fajr and Isha around midsummer follow the "seventh of the night" rule, as the sun does not sink far enough below the horizon. Your local mosque may add a few minutes of precaution or use a different method, so its timetable takes precedence.

The qibla from Stockholm is 148° from true north (SSE), on the great-circle route to the Ka'bah 4,554 km away. Today at 09:20 the sun stands exactly in the direction of the qibla, so shadows point directly away from it, an easy way to check the direction without a compass.

On the June solstice, the longest day of the year in Stockholm, Fajr is at 02:45, Maghrib at 22:08 and Isha at 22:54; the time from Fajr to Maghrib, the length of a fast, is 19 h 23 min. On the December solstice, Fajr is at 06:10 and Maghrib at 14:48, a fast of only 8 h 38 min.

Ramadan moves about 11 days earlier every year, so over a 33-year cycle the fasting day in Stockholm ranges between these two lengths. See the Ramadan 2027 timetable for Stockholm for suhoor and iftar times.
