Prayer Times in Beirut

Today in Beirut (Sunday, 8 November 2026, 28 Jumada al-Ula 1448 AH), Fajr is at 04:38, sunrise at 06:04, Dhuhr at 11:23, Asr at 14:18, Maghrib at 16:40 and Isha at 17:59 local time (UTC+2).

The times are calculated for 33.8938°, 35.5018° with the Muslim World League (Fajr 18°, Isha 17°) method, the convention most widely used in Lebanon, and the Standard (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali) rule for Asr. Your local mosque may add a few minutes of precaution or use a different method, so its timetable takes precedence.

The qibla from Beirut is 162° from true north (SSE), on the great-circle route to the Ka'bah 1,450 km away. Today at 10:22 the sun stands exactly in the direction of the qibla, so shadows point directly away from it, an easy way to check the direction without a compass.

On the June solstice, the longest day of the year in Beirut, Fajr is at 03:43, Maghrib at 19:52 and Isha at 21:30; the time from Fajr to Maghrib, the length of a fast, is 16 h 09 min. On the December solstice, Fajr is at 05:10 and Maghrib at 16:33, a fast of only 11 h 23 min.

Ramadan moves about 11 days earlier every year, so over a 33-year cycle the fasting day in Beirut ranges between these two lengths. See the Ramadan 2027 timetable for Beirut for suhoor and iftar times.
