Prayer Times in Adelaide

Today in Adelaide (Sunday, 8 November 2026, 28 Jumada al-Ula 1448 AH), Fajr is at 04:32, sunrise at 06:07, Dhuhr at 13:00, Asr at 16:44, Maghrib at 19:52 and Isha at 21:21 local time (UTC+10:30).

The times are calculated for -34.9285°, 138.6007° with the Muslim World League (Fajr 18°, Isha 17°) method, the convention most widely used in Australia, and the Standard (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali) rule for Asr. Your local mosque may add a few minutes of precaution or use a different method, so its timetable takes precedence.

The qibla from Adelaide is 283° from true north (WNW), on the great-circle route to the Ka'bah 12,120 km away. Today at 15:56 the sun stands exactly in the direction of the qibla, so shadows point directly away from it, an easy way to check the direction without a compass.

On the December solstice, the longest day of the year in Adelaide, Fajr is at 04:11, Maghrib at 20:29 and Isha at 22:09; the time from Fajr to Maghrib, the length of a fast, is 16 h 18 min. On the June solstice, Fajr is at 05:52 and Maghrib at 17:12, a fast of only 11 h 20 min.

Ramadan moves about 11 days earlier every year, so over a 33-year cycle the fasting day in Adelaide ranges between these two lengths. See the Ramadan 2027 timetable for Adelaide for suhoor and iftar times.
