Privacy Policy
Summary
You can use HijriTime without an account. In normal use we do not ask for personal information such as your name, email or phone number. If you send the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message so that we can reply.
Information We Collect
Normal use: viewing dates, calendars, prayer times and tools does not require an account.
Contact form: when you write to us we receive your name, email address and message.
Your city: when you open a prayer times page, a cookie remembers the city for one year so we can offer it again. It contains only the city name.
Cookies and Browser Storage
The site stores simple preferences, such as light or dark mode and your cookie choice, in your browser's local storage. The Google services described below may set their own cookies.
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity
We may use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand traffic and how the site is used. These analytics tools load only after you choose Accept in the cookie message; if you decline, the analytics scripts are not loaded. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie Settings in the footer. Learn how Google uses data here.
Third-Party Advertising (Google AdSense)
We may use Google AdSense to show ads. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown Google's certified consent message before ad data is processed. Depending on your choice and your region, ads may be personalised, non-personalised or limited.
See how Google uses cookies in advertising, and manage your preferences in Google Ad Settings.
How Long We Keep Data
Contact form messages are normally kept for up to 90 days for replies and follow-up. Technical server logs may be kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
Security
We keep data collection to a minimum and work to keep the website secure, but no online system is entirely free of risk.
Your Rights
You can ask about, or request deletion of, the information you sent through the contact form. Use the contact page.
