The rites of Hajj take place from 8 to 13 Dhu al-Hijjah. On the 8th, the Day of Tarwiyah, pilgrims go to Mina; on the 9th they stand at Arafat, then spend the night at Muzdalifah and stone the pillars at Mina.
Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, obligatory once in a lifetime for every adult Muslim who is physically and financially able to perform it.
